Podcast 4th and Final Prototype

Well I’m surprised how quickly 4 weeks have passed, I even made a mistake during the recording and referred to it as prototype 3 but this is in fact the 4th and final podcast prototype in the series. Next week’s edition will be the official opening night of the Andy Roberts Podcast – episode 1. I ought to make an event out of that on the facebook page really, and invite people.

Anyway, here’s the podcast player for listening online to my Andy Roberts podcast prototype number 4:

Glad you put this on iTunes, I have now subscribed but it looks like No3 is missing??
Nice to be able to download the podcasts to listen at a later date when I cannot make the live show.

Keep up the good work Andy.

PS Nice version of Big Eyed Beans.

Lorcan! Thanks for subscribing and for being the first human to comment here. You’ve probably been the most consistent at turning up to the live show over the past year almost, and I hope you’ll continue to drop in from time to time even though the opportunity has been added to listen again later. Prototype number 3 should be there in all of the feeds as far as I can tell so please check again and if there’s still one missing please let me know so I can try to fix it. Maybe the podcast files are just downloading in iTunes in a different order or something. Sometime you have to click “refresh” at the bottom right of the podcast page in iTunes to get it to download the latest, but it should arrive automatically eventually.

    Cheers
    Andy
Opening night will be on July 6th 7.00pm

It’s Wed 21:50 UK time (not blog time) and just refreshed ITunes, and no sign of podcast 3. It is set to automatically download when available, so will keep an eye out for when it arrives.

I try and do the Tuesday show, but the time is sometimes difficult, so the option to get a replay is great for me.

One of the good things about your Ustream broadcast is that they come across as very personal, it just like being in the same room one on one. I guess this is the opposite for you, as it can be not clear who or how many are listening to the show, am I a guest or have I signed in?

What would be very good is to put the Ustream video on iTunes as a podcast as well as the audio.
Looks like you have ironed out most of the bugs before going live.

For your info, podcast 1 and 2 don’t have the image of andyroberts.me associated with the files.

  4. Your link for subscribing to the podcast in iTunes doesn’t work (in Google Chrome at least).

This is the link you’ll want to advertise, I think: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/andy-roberts/id378470885

Thanks for all the feedback again Lorcan and Frankie. I managed to reproduce the effect of only getting 1,2&4 but I think 3 is always included now. Links to iTunes should be working correctly again. I did envisage putting the video recordings through as a podcast at first, but then got caught up in the idea of audio only. I’ll see if I can add that in sometime after the launch though, possibly using podbean. http://andyroberts.podbean.com/

There is a feed that comes straight out of my ustream channel but it’s not well formed: http://www.ustream.tv/aroberts-videos.rss
